Matthew Carniel is the PJHL’s first star of the week.

It’s the fifth time a player has been named a PJHL Star of the Week in North Vancouver. Carniel was the first Wolf Pack player to be called a PJHL star in September and has added 37 more points since then!

The Port Moody native has been with the team since the 2021-22 season and has suited up in 105 games, including regular season and playoff games.

Carniel scored three goals this past week and assisted on three goals for six points. The Real Deal had two goals and an assist in a 6-5 overtime victory against the White Rock Whalers on December 7 and had points on all three goals against the Grandview Steelers last Saturday.

“It feels pretty good to be named the first star of the week, but I’m just focused on my team and making sure that we continue to work hard as the year comes to an end,” said Carniel.

The Wolf Pack have six more games remaining until 2024, with two left at home. The Wolf Pack will play the Ridge Meadows Flames, Chilliwack Jets, Grandview Steelers, Delta Ice Hawks, Port Moody Panthers, and Mission City Outlaws to wrap up the year.

Tickets for home games can be purchased at the arena or online.
